CheckAlt's Weekly Update: July 24, 2020

I read a great story today about two longtime friends who made a pact in 1992 that if either of them won the lottery, they would split the winnings. Tom Cook and Joe Feeney agreed to buy lottery tickets every week. Nearly 30 years later, Cook discovered he had won $22 million. He immediately told his friend, Feeney, that they had won, as they had promised to honor each other’s word and that “a handshake is a handshake.”

I love friendships that are lifelong. No matter how long it’s been since you’ve seen each other or spoken with one another, you pick up exactly where you left off. Old friends are the best friends. This story shows that your word is bond, a sentiment we take seriously a CheckAlt. Our credit union EVPs Jackie Taque and Trish DiMaggio-Zander recently worked with our Managing Director of Communications & Customer Experience Tiffany Rider to create marketing material branded for a growing credit union client. Using the client’s logo, fonts, and colors, we designed data sheets for them to use as they work to provide our lockbox and RDC services to their members. CheckAlt’s IT Team is performing necessary maintenance to improve performance this Sunday, July 26. This is part of our monthly maintenance applying Microsoft Windows patches, which requires a brief disruption of our applications.
